A reflection upon sloth

 I am currently, though some would say unbelievably, in the midst of creating a video. I believe I am three weeks in so far, hopefully I can muster up the energy to complete it soon.

 Some days it's just not worth chewing through the straps. Others I force myself anyway.

Soon, a Decade.

 It occurs to me that in scant weeks this blog will be an entire decade old.  That could be seen as a testament to tenacity though I believe its more of a monument to sloth.

 Be that as it may, I will endeavor to mark it in some fashion. Or maybe just post more often. Or more likely I will forget and then post something late.  Not that anyone will notice. So no pressure, really.

 Wasted potential, his life was, they will someday say. Or more hopefully - a late bloomer (though not of the onion variety). 

A New Project (or perhaps Madness)

 Recently I have been painting a number of character/vendor/hired gun figures for Necromunda and sending pictures of them in various stages of completion to various folk who may be interested. My friend Bruce sent me a text stating that we should put together a narrative campaign so we can get all these figures on the table, to which I heartily agreed.

 The basic idea being - at Bruce's suggestion - would be 4-5 games minimum over the course of about 8 months. More games if possible, but even if we manage the 4 or 5 that's a win. If we manage more that's a better win. Flexibility will win out over rigidity of scheduling and overplanning. How much simpler it all was when I was in High School and all of my gaming buddies were as well. Every Saturday meet somewhere for a game and every so often go to someone's house on Friday night and game/eat garbage/nap until Sunday. Oh, what halcyon days they were.

 Strangely, I have been pondering this idea of doing some narrative games for a while and wondering if anyone would want to actually participate. I now have an answer, as I suspect Bruce is not the only one in our merry band who would enjoy participating. If that had not happened I would likely have just done it anyway in my own head. But that has openings and things fall out, like memories. This will be far superior as I have a reason to write it all down.

Here is hoping for good madness.

Still Not Dead Yet.

 As with most things, I have long intended to restart my journal of building/crafting/painting via this blog. And as with almost all things I intend, I do not seem to actually achieve it.  So no promises but I still have that intent.

 Despite this blog having turned into me essentially shouting into the void when I do bother to post I should not allow that to keep me from doing the shouting. But again that's all based on intent.

 Now that I have my YouTube channel (Hacksaw's Hobby Bunker) firmly established, I will endeavor to expand on certain projects via this blog. At least that is my intent. 

Not dead yet.

 Just to confirm, I am not dead yet. Hopefully more to follow.

The maddening nature of the internet...

I was recently chided for not having updated this blog with photos of my current projects. Upon attempting to remedy this deficiency today I discovered that my image hosting service has decreed my account to be about twice as large as is allowed for the "free" hosting.

This means I must find another hosting service...transfer all of my photos to that...then relink them all to my posts.

This may take me a while but it isn't like anyone besides my helpful friend is actually reading this.

In the meantime I am sorely vexed but that is nothing new.
